A match made in heaven: Grizzly Bear and Lil Wayne

From the RxG blog:

When I picked up the new Grizzly Bear album last month, “Two Weeks” was the first track off Veckatimest that entrenched itself in my head. I immediately grabbed the song from my playlist and inserted it into several mixtapes, finding that it melded just as seamlessly into a party mix as a lounging mix. It was great number and seemed to spark the voluminous buzz the album garnered on the blogosphere. Well, the buzz has died down by now and given way to a tidal wave of critical acclaim. While Grizzly Bear will undoubtedly ride that wave to several “Best of 2009” lists in December, their current popularity should also spawn truckloads of new remixes. Getting the drop on the ball, NYC's The Soundmen have come up with quite a gem in their mashup of “Two Weeks” and Weezy's “Prom Queen”. By jettisoning Lil Wayne's tired guitar riffs and melting his vocals into the slowed-down “Still D.R.E” piano strokes, this track has become a proper "turn-it-up" jam perfect for waking your neighbors up at night.
